Welcome To Chris Hatcher's Student Teaching Portfolio
Hello, I am Chris Hatcher, a 36-year Social Studies, English, and Communications teacher, certified for the area of Social Studies and English in the State of Virginia, in the United States. I earned my M.Ed. Professional Studies Masters of Education (History Education) from Emory & Henry College in Emory, Virginia in 2015, and received my state certification that year as well. I have six years of teaching experience as an employee of school systems. I currently work as a 9th-Grade English Teacher for Alexandria City Public Schools in Alexandria, Virginia. Previously, I spent a year as a full-time English/Media teacher in Thailand. From 2017-2022, I was also employed as the Nikon Microscope Specialist for the Virginia Region, working closely with schools and universities, to provide them with the best equipment, and instructional sessions/content, for their scientific educational needs. I am therefore able to teach science classes, as well as English, Spanish, English as a Second Language, Physical Education, and Communications/Journalism.
This site is designed to showcase my work within education, how I conducted myself both in and outside of the classroom, and to reflect my deep passion for my content area. It is also to demonstrate my professional readiness, and my ability to step into a classroom and teach from day-1.
Please browse the site, and look at my samples at your own convenience. All prospective employers should feel free to contact me at [email protected], or by phone at 276-608-3651 (Or 083-151-7284 in Thailand) at any time. I look forward to hearing from you soon, and continuing my career in education.
